Will not Fetch EPG for HDHomerun Prime

Post by simplyseth » Mon Nov 18, 2019 9:18 pm

* OS: Ubuntu 16.04.6
* Mythtv: 2:29.1+fixes.20
* Hauppauge 3250 (Same as HDHomerun Prime)
* Provider: Spectrum Cable, Atlanta, GA, USA

It seems no matter what I try, there is no program information in MythTv.

I've tried using SchedulesDirect and I've tried OTA.

http://<my internal IP>/lineup.html?show=subscribed shows me 280 channels with their call signs(?)

I changed the service file with the below line:

Code: Select all

ExecStart=/usr/bin/mythbackend --logpath /var/log/mythtv --loglevel debug
/var/log/mythtv/mythbackend*log is not showing me anything useful

what should I be looking at to try and resolve this ?

Thanks.

MythFill Output

Code: Select all

Hi,

I'd suggest starting with the line that says:

Code: Select all

2019-11-18 16:19:39.552305 I  Downloaded 420 bytes
I'd expect at least KBs. But that depends on how many channels were selected
in Schedules Direct

If that doesn't help, you can get a better log (it will be in /tmp) with this:

mythfilldatabase --dd-grab-all --logpath /tmp --verbose network:debug,file:debug

The log tells you where the download goes (... Writing to temporary file: ...)
and, you can copy it to another file, because it gets removed. The file can
be examined to see if there are any clues in it.

You can put the entire log in a pastebin and put a link to it here.
