Scanning for music has problems with moving folders

Post by TMonster » Thu Oct 03, 2019 10:46 am

Hi all,

I've noticed that if I move some music folders around (say I add an album in a folder and then move it to another subfolder), then re-scanning for music has some errors:

Code: Select all

2019-10-03 11:33:49.282136 E DB Error (music delete artwork):
Query was:
DELETE FROM music_albumart WHERE filename= :FILE AND directory_id= :DIRID;
Bindings were:
:DIRID=0, :FILE="folder.jpg"
No error type from QSqlError? Strange...
This error will persist after multiple scans.

It looks to be losing track of the myriad 'folder.jpg' used as albumart in every single folder.

So, the way I have been clearing this is to edit the database directly:

Code: Select all

delete from music_albumart where (directory_id <> 0) AND (directory_id not in (select directory_id from music_directories)) order by directory_id;
And then everything's all good.... until I move another folder...

The root music folder is in the 'Music' storage group - this folder & subfolders contain my music with their 'folder.jpg' albumart.

Separately, Myth's albumart (ie '12345-front.jpg') is in a separate location and in a separate storage group: 'MusicArt'

Anything I'm doing wrong here? Or should I be reporting this as a bug?
