MythTV on Wayland : "DPMS" is not disabled

Hello folks,
I run Gnome with Wayland and MythTV over it. I don't know if MythTV runs natively on Wayland, probably on Xwayland. So now running on Wayland, when i'm launching LiveTV, even if the application has or not the focus, the monitor is always falling in suspend mode after a time fixed in the desktop (Gnome) settings, if i don't touch the inputs.
Do i have to open a ticket, or it's not a priority for MythTV developers to port to Wayland ?
Is there a workaround other than disable DPMS in Gnome settings ?

Do you have DBus running on your system? The frontend will disable the screensaver via the DBus interface, which does work just fine on Wayland.

You should see messages about DBus screensaver in the output from the frontend log if it's working.

Hi,

I have DBus on my system. I have the same problem for any applications using xwayland. I don't use any screensaver application, just suspend mode. If i correctly understand how Wayland works, it doesn't use DBus. Wayland clients (including xwayland) probably must communicate with the Wayland compositor to avoid the suspend mode, but i'm not sure.

What do your logs say. I've just run a test with the timeout set to 5 minutes, and mythtv has kept going without
the screen turning off past the 5 minute mark. I get the following regarding the screensaver when playback starts

It's that first line there which says it's managed to successfully stop the screen saver from triggering.
Can you share the "ScreenSaverDBus" log messages from your frontend when playing a recording?

some news. I don't any file named 'org.freedesktop.ScreenSaver' maybe is this ? Because i don't use any screensaver (only screen blanking).

I don't know really how, but installing gnome-screensaver resolved my problem.
