you know when you start myth backend setup you are asked to stop mythbackend and continue....well it does not stop mythbackend., but I can continue to use the backend setup
problem arises when I try to rescan channels, which I cannot because capture cards are used by the running backend
I just installed the latest build of mythtv (17-01) which fixed one problem, but it has not fixed this one...

try
Code: Select all
sudo systemctl stop mythtv-backend.service
Re: 0.28 on Ubuntu 16.10 Mythbackend cannot be killed
thanks.
that works at the command prompt
I also set that to the backend stop command in setup, but it does not work there (but at least it does ask me for the authentication password)
