Yes freesat works just fine. I use a TeVii S480 http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/TeVii_S480 which is a dual DVB-S2 card, so you can record freesat HD as well as SD. I bought mine from here http://www.dvbshop.net/TeVii-S480-V21-n ... ow-profile

Sorry for the late posting, but I just found out about these forums. I use the TBS6982 Dual DVB-S2 card.

The driver isn't Free software, but it's worked very well for me for several years now.

I'm using the TBS6981 Dual DVB-S2 card and TBS6280 Dual DVB-T2 card both using the open source drivers. The open source drivers for the TBS6981 needed a little tweaking to get them to work but so far they seem to be working OK.

I'm using the DVBSKY S952

http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/DVBSKY_S952

It's a dual tuner, low profile, HD card and is working very well for me.

The drivers must be compiled for your kernel... and recompiled each time you upgrade..
Details are here: http://www.dvbsky.net/Support.html

I had to email them once for advice. They were very helpful and quick to respond.
