Shield and Dolby AC4

I just tried to play back an ATSC 3.0 recorded video, and just like VLC, it won't play audio.

I downloaded the log, but nothing interesting about audio:

The Channels App is the only Android app that can play AC4 that I am happy with. No idea how it works.

I asked about atsc 3.0 before and learned that they have DRM on some channels so that may be your issue. Just a guess on my part.

It seems that ffmpeg does not have AC4 support, and it is unlikely that the shield has AC4 support. Perhaps if you have a TV with AC4 support there may be a way to use pass through the audio stream to the TV.
