I have 29.1 installed on a small single board X86 host operating as a frontend. Running Ubuntu Desktop 18.04.3.
Somehow X crashes to a blank screen frequently when exiting live TV. Nothing logged in Xorg.log.0 or mythfrontend.log. It seems to be completely solid when plugged into a 1600x900 computer display but has problems when I move it over to my 1080p Samsung 50" TV. I've tried forcing the resolution on the Samsung down to 1600x900.
I'm at a loss as to what to look for next. Anyone have any ideas?
X Crashes Leaving Live TV
Re: X Crashes Leaving Live TV
Try setting the display to 1366x768. That's what it took for it to work right on my old Samsung 46". I've since replaced the tv with a 4k.

Re: X Crashes Leaving Live TV
Nope. I was able to go in and out of Live TV a few times. But finally the TV displays "Invalid Mode. Change Device Resolution." Nothing short of a hard boot would fix it. Unless someone has another idea, I guess I'm going to try reinstalling Ubuntu and Myth.
This is my first experience with Ubuntu and it has not gone smoothly. Lots of little unexpected errors. Is there another distro that someone maintains Myth packages for?

Re: X Crashes Leaving Live TV
I'm going to start a new thread. I think this has something to do with X changing video modes. Other than this issue it's a nice solid front end.
