Livetv stuck on bad channel bug #4515

I am running 0.28 master but I think 0.27 also suffers from a reversion of bug #4515. In the UK some channels are only available at certain times of day. If the TV was last tuned to one of these and it is currently not broadcasting - the frontend refuses to change to any other channel and simply falls out of livetv after the timeout. No amount of pressing escape or trying to input a good channel number will relieve the situation. So I have to wait for that channel to start broadcasting again before using live tv again. I note various existing threads on how to work round this but I dont think they work anymore. Has anybody got a work round that currently works?

In Master, when you bring up the Program Guide without first starting Live TV, you can navigate to a particular channel and press the MENU key, and there should be a "Watch this channel" menu item. That will start Live TV and go straight to the selected channel, without getting stuck on the untunable previous channel.

Thanks for the sugestion it works well.
The recent updates of live tv in master have also greatly improved the situation, you can now enter a channel number during the timeout period while the system is waiting for data and it will go for the new channel.

The "this channel is off-air" messages are implemented in MHEG. If you have the interactive tv stuff disabled, then you effectively have an audio only channel
