Re: mythtv backend problems with tv card
Hi,
Don't have the card, so not any help. But this may be a good start
(to see if the kernel sees it.)

Re: mythtv backend problems with tv card
DId you load the module as described below before running the backend setup? Did you even run the backend setup? From what you've posted it doesn't look like it.

Re: mythtv backend problems with tv card
Did you remove the existing module before trying to load it again?
modprobe -r <module>
Might try 18.04lts. It's the latest.

Re: mythtv backend problems with tv card
try 'lsmod|grep saa7134' and see if you can find what's using it. You might need to remove that first. Other than that. I don't know. Maybe blacklist it not to load automatically, and then load it manually with the card id.

Re: mythtv backend problems with tv card
Hi !
I think that I already managed to solve the problem of the card
sudo nano etc/modprobe.d/saa7134.conf
options saa7134 card=183
install saa7134 /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install saa7134;
save
