I would like a Mythtv Light version 29 package for the Debian Buster version of Raspbian. My backend is running version 29 on an Odroid HC1 and I have been unable to update it to version 30. Thank you.

I have an unofficial build of mythtv-light 29 for Raspbian Buster, which you are welcome to try.
This build will not be updated and is unsupported.
I do not know what the official position of mythtv-light 29 is in terms of being available for Raspbian Buster

Download from my Dropbox at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/7mluj6s4twq2 ... nsEza?dl=0
The directory also contains all the build logs, so you can see how it was built.
The build is up to date as of Commits on Jun 13, 2019, there have been a few changes since then but should not affect mythfrontend operation.
I also applied a patch to overcome an issue with UK OTA DVB-T/T2 (should not affect atsc users).

The files you want are:
mythtv-light_29.1-63-gc3f7e46e27-dirty-0_armhf_buster.deb
mythplugins-light_29.1-63-gc3f7e46e27-dirty-0_armhf_buster.deb

Once downloaded install as follows:
sudo apt install ./mythtv-light_29.1-63-gc3f7e46e27-dirty-0_armhf_buster.deb
sudo apt install ./mythplugins-light_29.1-63-gc3f7e46e27-dirty-0_armhf_buster.deb

Hello Mike,

Your build works great! I have it running on a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ with a 7" touchscreen. Is there a way to back out of watching a recording through a hand gesture? Once the recording stops playing, I can move around the menus by touch.

Thank you for your quick response and providing a solution for my problem.

Frank,

I have never used a touch screen with mythtv.
As a complete guess, map a gesture of your choice to produce the Escape key (no idea how to do this)

Probably best to ask the question in PLATFORMS Raspberry Pi section of this board.

Mike,
Thanks for posting the 29 build for Buster. I tried to install on a fresh OS install and I get the following error
