Is there any way to get mythtv to show trailers for movies not in your video library? I've read the mythtv wiki pages, and all it refers to there is adding trailers for the videos that are already in the library.
There seemed to be a plugin that did this a few years ago, but the YouTube API has changed and the plugin hasn't been updated since 2012.
It might be good if it were possible to place videos in the trailers recording group or /mythtv/trailers and have random ones played before videos. I imagine that the plugin could load them based on the parental control level of the watched video, which would correlate with a naming system, maybe even prefixing the videos with a number 1-4.
