Different themes for different users
Different themes for different users
After installing mythfrontend on an ubuntu 12.04 laptop, I set the theme to Mythbuntu 28 for my wife's login. When I logged in to my own account, started mythfrontend and went to the theme selector, only 3 themes showed up and none of them were Mythbuntu 28. How is this possible?
Re: Different themes for different users
Downloaded themes are stored in the individual's ~/.mythtv directory, so they are different for each user. You need to download another copy for the second user.
But you should be aware that the setting for which theme to use is stored in the database, and is per host, not per user. So you can't really have different themes for each user. It just happens to be doing this now because the theme directory chosen for one user isn't present for the other, and the default is being used instead.
Actually, I suppose you could play a trick and assign a different "host name" to each user in their ~/.mythtv/config.xml. Then, all frontend settings would be stored separately for each user.
