Looking for MythWeb architecture wiki

Post by thinkmega » Mon Mar 19, 2018 2:19 pm

Is there a wiki out there for how the MythWeb works internally? I'd like to learn about how the layout is handled and how it calls the backend.

Any info would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

I don't believe such a thing exists

MythWeb is on life support, no longer being actively developed. Unfortunately, we don't have a developer actively working on the replacement (Web Frontend). If you wanted to contribute...

What should we expect on mythweb's replacement? Right now I am trying to understand how the components side of mythweb work together. I guess I might have to take them apart to feel it first.

Mythweb still works rather well.

Understood, but it is not trivial for some people to get it running. Apache (or other web server) and PHP have to be properly installed and configured. And MythWeb doesn't support mobile devices with a touch interface very well. Plus MythWeb directly access the database which makes it a pain to maintain. I think those are the main reason the devs would like to retire it.
