Sorry but would you clarify please? Are you saying that you have similar symptoms (with your USA recordings) and wifi but that it is solidly stable with wired ether?

Since all my Fire Sticks 4K are hard wired with CAT 6 to my home network. I have no problem with picture quality on USA OTA recordings. With WiFi it's usually the same but will break up occasionally due to wireless issues

I get no issues with judder on either F4K or Shield TV playing back UK HD recordings. Using Leanfront or the android frontend.
The devices are connected to a low end NUC based backend via Gbit Ethernet. Also works over powerline (600MHz, 100 base T) with the cheapest Fire TV Lite.
Note that the frame rate for the playback device has to be set to 50hz, which I suspect is the problem here.
