Hi,
I've recently upgraded my MythTV system from v0.29 to 31, and most things are working fine. One issue I have is that my Raspberry Pi 3B frontend has black flashes in the UI, and when watching a video it flickers badly. It's a little hard to describe, so I've uploaded a short video to YouTube but unfortunately I'm not allowed to link to it. If you combine https, youtu dot be and -ADcQy-3tyg you should find it...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ADcQy-3tyg
Please ignore the overscan issues, I'm sure I can sort those out myself.
I'm guessing this is related to the switch to using OpenGL more in the frontend. Does anyone know what settings I need to tweak to get the UI to display correctly?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
Cheers,
Andrew

Re: Black flashes
Could you give some more details. What version of Raspberry PI OS? are you running console only? how are you starting your mythfrontend?
I can barely get a RPI 4 to work with mythfrontend from the console use QT. I did use RPI3B+ with LibreELEC and the mythtv PVR addon before I got the RPI 4.

Re: Black flashes
I upgraded from an old version, probably stretch to buster.
I've now started from scratch with a new install of bullseye, and am running mythfrontend directly from the console rather than via X and the menu is working fine.
Cheers,
Andrew
