New install RPI4 Segmentation fault

Post by drifting »

Hi All

Not quite worked out what is going on, but seems to be something to do with CEC but cannot be sure. Did the change to the config to tell it not to use the CEC HDMI. All the end message says is "Segmentation fault" And it lockes the keyboard! However, can ssh in fine and reboot. Any suggestions? Have to admit I gave up trying to use this Pi4 a while as it was not stable enough for the wife. Now with this fault on a clean install, seems things have not improved any?

Paul.

I remember the segfault when the frontend was started from the console. After moving to the 64-bit Raspberry Pi OS beta I found frontend performance to be fine when launched from the graphical desktop, so don't have that problem any more.
