Don't know if this driver will benefit MythTV, but apparently it can run Quake III at 100 frames per second at 720p. Martin Thomas, an engineer at Nvidia has been working on this in has spare time for over two years. This is not the official Vulkan driver still in development, and it does not adhere to all the official standards. Apparently the driver has improved memory management and multi-threaded command handling as compared to the OpenGL drivers.
