can anyone help me set up epg in kodi with mythtv.
first i run the mythtv-setup and in video source i set it to "tv_grab_dk_dr_2012 (xmltv)" i set the input connections
and scan for channels i found all the channels, then i exit the setup here it will bring up a terminal and i can see is running the mythfilldatabase
after 2 min it will say a error and i will stop it there.
here is the log
http://pastebin.com/vufGZ3p9
i don't know what to do with "Unknown xmltv channel identifier" or how fix it.
i can see it "Found 11 channels for source 1 which use grabber" and "Marking episode first showings Found 186"
but when i go in kodi and look in the epg it only show 9 channels with epg data but only 1 channel works.
hope someone can help me out

Re: Epg in kodi with mythtv
You have your xmltv grabber configured to grab data for xmltv channel ids that can not be found in your MythTV channels. Eiher manually add the missing xmltv id to the channel in MythTV or remove the channel from your grabber configuration.Crash wrote:i don't know what to do with "Unknown xmltv channel identifier" or how fix it.
Did you channel scan on the input connection? Do more channels work in mythfrontend? What do the logs of Kodi/Mythbackend show?Crash wrote:but only 1 channel works
Re: Epg in kodi with mythtv
thank you for your reply
but I just hit my limit I have been working on this non stop since I purchased my HDHomerun (HDHR3-EU) on dec.10
so for now I will use EIT instead, until I get a better understanding of what I'm doing in Linux and xmltv, grabber, mc2xml etc.
i'm sorry for any inconvenience
I figured it out how to change it, I don't know how but I first I couldn't change it in the channel editor or in the mythweb and now both of them is workingdekarl wrote:You have your xmltv grabber configured to grab data for xmltv channel ids that can not be found in your MythTV channels. I tried scanning in 5. input connections and in 6. channel editor with the same result. I couldnt even get mythfrontend to show live tv, but it was working fine in kodi, beside the problem I have with epg.dekarl wrote:Did you channel scan on the input connection?
