Old recordings not playing, but new ones do...

Post by Lupierus » Fri Feb 14, 2014 10:19 pm

HI All,

Hoping for some help, I have been looking for a while online now, and not finding the answer.

I recently upgraded my back-end and set-up it up identically to my old back-end (used the database back-up/restore in part to do so) and got everything up and running very easily (God I love Linux!!).

The problem is that all older recordings (that I backed-up and restored to the new back-end) cannot be played, but all new recordings can on my separate front-end (but can be played on the back-end).

Any thoughts on what could be going on here? I know that i am missing something simple here, so appreciate anyone making me look like a simpleton ;)

Thanks in advance for all the help!

BR,
Lupierus

Simple statement but have you checked the logs, frontend and backend. I imagine the answer will be in there when you try and play the file.

Are you sure you created the same Strorage groups / directory structure?

Look in the "recorded" table at your recordings, check the storage groups via the "storagegroups" table, ie check the file names exist in database and are to be found on the system where the database says they should be.

Beyond that, yeah, you need to post some logs.

James
