Drive a smart TV by Wi-Fi

Post by pinnerite »

Until a week ago I could drive my Samsung smart TV via an HDMI cable.

Then I moved to a new home that prevents my MythTV machine from connecting by cable.

However both the TV and the HTPC are wifi enabled. Is there a way in which I can stream from the latter to the TV?

TIA

Are you saying you want to play content from the MythTV backend on the TV using wifi? Yes, but a wired connection is more reliable. One option would be to install MythTV Leanfront on a Fire TV stick or other compatible device, and connect the device to the router using wifi.

I am guessing that Leanfront on the Firestick can be pointed at the MythTV backend's static IP address.

Anyway, thank you for introducing me to LeanFront.
