ir-keytable kernel bug, ir remote quit working

A new bug was introduced in all kernels compiled after 9-5-2020 and ir-keytable fails to load any custom keymaps thus killing most if not all remotes using ir-keytable.

The problem has been resolved and a patch has been submitted but has not yet made it into newer kernels as of today. For those using ubuntu flavors, the last working kernel was 5.4.0-48. All later ones to date will break your remote. There is a patched kernel available here.

The latest mainline kernel that works is 5.8.7 if you prefer running later kernels.
