Manual schedule over-writes program schedule

Hiya,
I have a number of "normal" recording schedules, which record programs at various times and channels. Some of them are on Channel 1, in the evening. These are generally kept forever (no auto-expiry or keep-only-n).
I also want to record Channel 1 every evening from 6pm to midnight, and keep only the last three days (as well as individual programs which will be kept forever as above).
I added a manual schedule from 6pm to midnight on Channel 1, with a "keep only" of 3, and it started recording.
But now the "Listings" page in MythWeb shows only my 6-hour "Evenings on One" schedule in the evening on One, not what's actually showing. So I can't see what's on.
I've since deleted my manual schedule, but the Listings page still shows it.
So my questions are:
1. How do I get the regular Listings back? Is there a "download all the Listings again" option? And
2. How should I be doing this? How can I record 6pm to midnight without blatting all over the Listings?
