My MythTV has stopped working (viewtopic.php?f=36&t=3621) for some reason, and I'm upgrading.
I want to move from Debian 1.8/Jessie to Debian 1.9/Stretch, but that replaces MySQL with MariaDB.
(Also, I'm moving from MythTV 0.27 to 29.)
Does anyone have any experience migrating their MythTV to Debian 1.9? Can I just take my MySQL backup and restore it to MariaDB?
Potential problems migrating to Debian 1.9?

If you're going to upgrade, V30 is the latestest version. Might as well go to it.

It's been ages since I switched from MySQL to MariaDB, but Ishadowfirebird wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2020 10:51 amCan I just take my MySQL backup and restore it to MariaDB?
don't recall needing to restore the DB. MariaDB just worked
with the old. Though making a backup 1st is the right thing
to do.
