[SOLVED] : Configuration of Network ID no more possible in MythTV 29.1

Hi,

for several years I've been using Mythbuntu 0.27 running on Ubuntu 16.04 and using 2 Digital Devices Cine CT DVB-C boards.

Here in Switzerland the UPC Cablecom provider uses following configuration, that was possible to setup in 0.27 MythTV Backend:

Network ID: 43016
Frequency: 410 MHz
Modulation: QAM64
Symbolrate: 6900

Now because Mythbuntu is no more supported, I'm trying to setup a new system using Xubuntu 18.04.1 LTS and MythTV 29.1.

Unfortunately now it's no more possible to setup the UPS Cablecom configuration, because the Network ID field doesn't allow to use 43016, writing it down directly, but only -1 or some other value incrementing the value with the arrow. Virtually is impossible to use the 43016 value, because it would need a lot of time to reach it (and also after 999 the display switches to ...).

Is there any way to setup the required configuration?

Using -1 instead of 43016, the scanning delivers only about 30 of the 60-80 available unencrypted channels.

Any idea? Did somebody configure successfully the UPC Cablecom setting?

I could finally enter the 43016 Network ID value by pressing the right arrow about 30 minutes long !!!

I consider this a bug, having removed the possibility to enter directly a so high value in the field

Did you try pressing PAGEUP/PAGEDOWN? They are usually set to increment/decrement in larger amounts.

No, I haven't tried the PAGEUP/PAGEDOWN keys but only the key ARROW-RIGHT, below them in the keyboard.

I'm on v30-Pre and using the Steppes theme. Just pressing return or even
start typing allows entering a number. Sorry about your lost 30 minutes.

The feature to press enter or just type a number into a spin box is also available in fixes/29, but it is not working in v29.1. To use it you will need to install fixes/29 later than 2018/08/14 (b46a64f085)

Pressing PAGE-UP/PAGE-DOWN the speed is 8x that of RIGHT-ARROW. Much better!
Maybe in future I'll give a try to the fixes/29.
