Disable Commercial skipping for live TV?

Disable Commercial skipping for live TV?
If mythtv gets left in live TV mode, all the shows get put in the queue for grabbing metadata and commercial flagging. The metadata is quick enough but the commercial flagging is slow and leads to a big backlog. I've looked in the settings and can't see any way to disable it for liveTV. Does anyone know how to? (I still want it enabled for recorded programs so disabling globally is not a good option).

Need some more detail here. I recorded four shows and dumped the
jobqueue. There were no entries for metadata or flagging. There's
existing code that checks if the recgrp == "LiveTV' amoung other
things and removes transcode and/or flagging from the queue.
When this occurs, was 'r' pressed? That would cause the LiveTV
session to become a recording. I didn't test to see if that applies
to all new programs after 'r' was pressed.
Exact details of actions taken would help.
