Firmware is loded for each card, permissions are right the the dvb adapters, and video devices and the setup logs show no errors. I have tried multiple permutations in the transports but never a channel appears. There is a signal demonstrated but no channels found.
I have no idea where to turn now and after 10 years + of using Mythtv and no solution online, a commercial recorder is starting to look like the only solution as this is looking increasingly insoluble.
