Live TV aspect ratio with PVR-150

Post by hoody »

Hi

I had to rebuild my entire myth backend after an upgrade went horribly wrong. I chose to setup from scratch and not restore my old DB.

I have a PVR-150 connected to a Foxtel STB, it is configured for 16:9 output. The PVR-150 always switches to 4:3 capture when a channel is selected and is displayed on my Kodi frontend squashed. If I use v4l2-ctl -c video_aspect=2 the captured aspect ratio switches to 16:9.

So my question is where is the PVR-150 configuration capture aspect ratio for live TV configured. I have changed all the recording profiles for the PVR-150 to 16:9 aspect ratio. The backend is obviously making this change to the capture aspect ratio as demonstrated by being able to change the aspect ratio to 16:9 using v4l2-ctl.

This worked fine for me in 0.28 before I upgraded to 0.29.

Please attach all output as a file in bug reports.
