Upgrade of mythtv-database failed: access denied for root

Post by sws26 »

Hello,

I updated my Debian Jessie yesterday including mythtv. While trying to upgrade package mythtv-database it gave me this error:
mythtv-database (0.27.5-dmo2+deb8u2) wird eingerichtet ...
Failed to connect to database: Access denied for user 'root'@'192.168.1.2' (using password: YES) at -e line 5, <> line 1.
Failed to connect to database: Access denied for user 'root'@'192.168.1.2' (using password: YES) at -e line 5, <> line 1.
Update process was as usual:

Code: Select all

# apt-get update
# apt-get upgrade
# apt-get dist-upgrade
In mythtv-setup database user is set to mythtv with his own password. Database is configured with the right IP. Mythfrontend can reach master backend and works fine. mythweb complains about not reaching master backend but I think this is because of mythtv-database missing in the new version.

I can enter database mythconverg via cli using the credentials in mythtv-setup, same as in /usr/share/mythtv/config.xml and /etc/mythtv/mythweb-mysql.conf.

I even granted access to root via cli mysql.

Any clue why I cannot install mythtv-.database?

Regards,
Sebastian
