Autoexpire active with 50% disk used

Hi there. Puzzled over this.

Seems that my myth box is auto expiring recordings at an alarming rate, some that have just been recorded that day, as if the disk is full however it says between 50 to 55% used. Bit of a head scratcher as I've gone though the settings in MythWeb and can't see anything obvious relating to disk usage limitations or auto delete.

Another thing I've noticed, watched recordings seemed to be deleted overnight whether we want them deleted or not grrrr.

If anyone can say where within MythWeb settings for the auto-expire, only using 50% disk space and the mysterious auto delete after watching issues, I'd appreciate.

Hi,

I'll take a guess that you don't have access to mythfrontend's ability to
look at/change the global settings, and that's why you're using mythweb
(which you read has no validity/error checking/help messages.)

One possible answer is the setting: AutoExpireExtraSpace and it's value
is in gigabytes.

The only ref to Expire is PlaybackWLAutoexpire or am I looking in the wrong area?

Lines like:

AutoExpireLiveTVMaxAge                        = 1
AutoExpireDayPriority                         = 3
AutoExpireExtraSpace                          = 10

The problem is that by not using the GUI, you won't know
what the defaults are (in case some of the above aren't there.

Or it's a completely different issue.

Some things to check

• what storage group is this? E.g. a recording rule create from LiveTV might end up being considered LiveTV and deleted after a day
• no disk is full?
• Has the recording rule a limit of recordings to keep?
• what MythTV version is this?
