Title with Question Mark

Post by jblakeney » Sun Nov 12, 2017 11:24 pm

I am having difficulty automatically downloading images for a title with a Question Mark in the name. I have added "Are You Being Served?" to my Videos section. The grabber launches and uses ttvdb-py to get the meta data. It searches and finds the series and prompts me for the proper one. I select it and it downloads the metadata for each episode but does not download the images:

(I have replaced the ttvdb(dot)py with ttvdb-py as the forum interprets it as a url and will not let me post it)

Code: Select all

This time it puts the question mark in the MetaData query.

Is there a new ttvdb-py script that I need to download?
I am using version:
mythfrontend version: fixes/29 [v29.0-57-gd743ef4]

Any help would be appreciated. I would really hate to manually download each episode's images.
Thanks,
Jimmy

You can search www.thetvdb.com to see what is there. I found it has "Are You Being Served" both with and without a question mark but it seems to be in the list twice so that may be causing the problem. Sometimes it helps to update the inet ref on MythTV, and then run the lookup.

Thanks for the reply, however I'm not sure it helps. There are two listing in thetvdb as you mentioned, but they point to the same show ID, so mythtv should be able to use either one. Just like any of the myriad of Star Trek series entries, which I never had issues with.

You mentioned updating the inetref and then running the lookup. I can only find information on entering that for recordings not videos. These are uploaded videos not recordings. I believe years ago I could enter the inetref when it grabber used imdb but I have not seen it since the change to themoviedb and thetvdb. Also, I believe the grabber is returning the correct inetref entry:

Code: Select all

Nov 12 15:09:38 ubuntu mythfrontend.real: mythfrontend[5324]: I MetadataDownload metadatagrabber.cpp:453 (RunGrabber) Running Grabber: /usr/share/mythtv/metadata/Television/ttvdb-py -l en -a US -N 77879 Dear Sexy Knickers
77879 is the Show ID listed at thetvdb.

I tried a test with another series - "Who's the Boss?" It did exactly the same thing. It will identify the series and download the metadata, such as, the proper episode title, synopsis, director, runtime... but will not automatically download the images. If I then Change Video Details -> Edit Details and the "Find Online" the Coverart, Screenshot... they will download properly and display correctly.

I guess this actually is a bug and should be reported. What would be the proper way to submit it?
Thanks again for the help.
Jimmy

To change the inetref for a video, go to Watch Videos->any video you like->
press i -> Change Video Details->Edit Details->TMDB

Thanks for the info the TMDB location. It was not showing on the theme I was using (MythCenter-wide 1.7). I changed my theme and can see the TMDB entry. It lists "ttvdb.py_77879" for this series which is correct. I reset the video info and attempted to download the info again. It produced the same results (no images, just metadata), but the new theme shows "/path/to/the/thing.jpg" as all the images. Don't know if this helps any or not. I remember seeing an update recently for a new api (https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/TheTVDB_API_v2). I would assume the grabber was changed to support this. Could this be the issue?
Thanks,
Jimmy
