Mythtv Android Frontend ... mileage DOES vary
Mythtv Android Frontend ... mileage DOES vary
I have not had much success with either the current client it the Beta release in streaming video to my Android devices. Is there a particular video player on android that consistently works? Right now I manage using the lowres Floplayer on mythweb, but would appreciate better quality.

DicePlayer works for me using the 540p Playback Profile. But that's testing within 60' of my router and your Topic suggests much greater distances.

It has been a year since I last ran my tests, but here were my results with MobileMyth https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... vZWc#gid=0

I use the free version of MXPlayer on my Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7 (2012) and Nexus 5. All have been positive experiences with recordings from Australian FTA, plyed locally or remotely (over SSH tunnelling).
I also use the Plex app coupled with the MythTV channel. Works a treat (for completed recordings)!
