Has anyone heard anything about these models? Is there any information out there regarding linux drivers?

My understanding is these models will superseed the current hvr-2200 & hvr-2210.

See the other topic on the forum regarding the xxx5 cards.Sylvester wrote:Anyone ??
It appears that one can purchase a commercial license for a driver for (at least some of) the cards, but Hauppauge is not funding/supporting any work to move the support upstream (i.e. no free Linux drivers). Perhaps someone will develop/submit patches upstream at some point. Perhaps not.
The best advice is for individuals to make it clear to Hauppauge that you want a Linux driver, and until that happens, choose different products.

Im also needing .deb linux drivers for Linux Mint 17,.
Just wondering if there any update. Like others, Im also quite annoyed that the "Linux" tab on the HVR-2205 Hauppage page suggested a Driver was available ... well that seems to be a load of BS, but hoping a driver becomes available. Alternatively, a substitute DVB-T card will be needed.
