Any new developments with DVB-T tuners?

Post by cliveb »

Over the years I've used a variety of DVB-T tuners on Myth backends. Hauppauge WinTV PCI devices, KWorld UB499 dual tuner stick (which died), and at present a Sony PlayTV box.

But they have all had the same fundamental issue of not coping well with slight interference on the broadcast Freeview signal.
And yet, my old Sharp Aquos TV never misses a beat - a signal that results in severe breakup on the Myth system is rock steady on the TV.

Are there any newer DVB-T tuners supported by Linux that offer better performance in this area? The LinuxTV wiki hasn't been updated for ages, so maybe there are new developments?

I don't need DVB-T2, SD recording is just fine for my purposes.
