Hi!
Today I have cable-TV (from ComHem) in Sweden with analogue channels only.
I want to record programs and skip all commercials.
Is it possible with MythTV and my situation?
If yes, I want to run it on Raspberry 3 model B or on an Intel NUC.
Do I need any more hardware?
What is front-end and back-end?
Best regards,
/Thomas

Hi,
You can Fast Forward at any time during the playback of a recording.
Commercial flagging isn't guaranteed to catch all commercials. It's
also likely to detect some scenes (espicially dark ones) as commercials.
Low processor power backends may struggle to do flagging. I've seen
lots of folks reporting success with RPi frontends.
More hardware, yes, you need a tuner. This may help:

This should answer your last question: https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Mythbackend
and note that the frontend and backend can be on the same host.
