Scan Storage Function

Post by kbocek »

Is there any way to programmatically execute the "Scan Storage" function in the picture viewer? Right now it takes a couple of minutes on my setup. I'd like to run it via cron on the backend.

Well, one week later I guess the answer is no.

He did say 'picture viewer' so that isn't relevant. I don't think there is a way to do it programmatically. Probably not to difficult to add something to mythutil like the --scanvideos and --scanmusic options. Nice little project for a beginner :)

Yes I want to do this for this image/picture viewer not the video viewer. Oh well.
