I am wondering what flavor of Linux is best to build my system on.
I have a Happauge WinTV-HVR-2255 Board model 1229 for Over The Air input
and an HP Elite 8300 SFF 64 bit system with plenty of disk.
Thanks in advance
Bill

I think pretty much all major distros have mythtv in their repos. I use xubuntu. take your pick.

If you do use ubuntu or xubuntu you might find Mythbuntu Control Panel useful.
Don't forget the Wiki.

Thanks for the suggestion !
Do you know if Ubuntu will support my Happauge WinTV-HVR-2255 Board ?
I'm guessing it would be best to install all my hardware first and let Ubuntu find it during the build ?
Thanks again

That's 5 years old. Firmware may be include in later kernels.
