How do I upgrade from 0.29 to 32 on an Ubuntu host?

I'm way behind keeping my Myth setup updated. Is there any issue updating directly from 0.29 to 32 on Ubuntu?

Hi,

Pretty broad question. But first, there is no 32 release. v32-Pre is the tag used by master.
That said, I'm running on master OK, but it's in development and things can happen.

v31 is the current release. And yes, there are things to be aware of. See these

At least read the entire Major Changes sections of each.

If you add your Distribution to the initial Subject: line, others may have some
ideas.

Okay, thanks. I presume the process will be to remove the 0.29 PPA, add the 31 PPA and do apt upgrade, yes?

Sounds like Ubuntu, which I use, but build from source, so never use the PPA.
I added to the initial Subject: line. If I guess wrong, you can correct it. I run v31
and above on an Ubuntu 18.04 host FYI.

I just upgraded to 20.04 LTS and I can't add the PPA. I'll start a new thread on that.

I don't have a problem adding the v31 ppa on Ubuntu 20.04 using Mythbuntu Control Panel (https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Mythbuntu_Control_Panel).

The issue is I need 0.29 on Ubuntu 20.04. I don't think there is a PPA for that combo. I have another thread going.
