Direct input of numbers

Post by vidtek »

Does anyone else have a frustration with version 29 not allowing a direct input of numbers into their fields any more? To have to use the right arrow key to enter a number in the thousands is very time consuming and frustrating.
For instance, when manually adding an additional channel to a video source in the channel editor, I am trying to add a service id of 8500.
It has taken 3 minutes holding the right arrow key to do it. This is plain daft, and there are many other instances where this new interface denies a direct input of numerals. Why???

I know it is not ideal, but you can advance 8 times as fast by using page up and page down. I was able to set 5555 in 35 seconds. (see ticket #13204)

This is a result of the way the new setup pages were created. I have on a list of things to be fixed.
