Hello to all,
I would like to setup a Mythtv backend with a TBS5990 usb device with dual CI modules. My goal is to be able to view the italian television service on Tivusat platform.
I own two original tivusat CAM+smartcards but I don't know if Mythtv will be able to decrypt the encrypted channels. Before buying the TBS5990 I want to be sure this device will work 100%.
Please, could you be so kind to tell me if this hardware is 100% compatible with the latest release of Mythtv on Ubuntu 16.04 system?

Supposedly works with custom drivers:

I've been using these drivers successfully for a TBS8922 for some time now. The only annoyance is that the drivers have to be re-installed every time the kernel updates.
Note: Some people seem to have problems, particularly on a RPi. Check out details here:
