dual tuner setup problem
dual tuner setup problem
I have a Wintv-dualHD usb adapter. If i go to the device tab and add both adapter0 & adapter1 It shows i have 4 adapters. I read somewhere i have to only add one of them and do some additional configuration. but i cant find where to do that. Can you point me in the right direction ?
Re: dual tuner setup problem
Sounds like you're asking about mythtv-setup, Input connections, 2nd page, Max recordings.
Re: dual tuner setup problem
Yep I should have mentioned that . Thanks it's working now
Can I swap between tuners on 2 different channels?

May need to expand on the question. In Recording Rules, you can select a specific
tuner. But normally, you'd just let the backend decide which one to use (you can set
the order tuners are used in, but that's done automatically too.) LIveTV and recordings
select tuners in the opposite order. That too is automatically configured.
Re: dual tuner setup problem
i'll use my old directivo as an example. If your watching a show and want to build up a bit of a buffer to skip commercials, you can hit the down arrow and you switch to the other tuner and watch something else and can skip back and forth between them. If not it's no big deal I;m sure i can record one and watch another.
It's an impressive system you built. This is much better than my channelmaster dvr+
.

Re: dual tuner setup problem
If watching LiveTV and you want to watch another channel,
just press r 1st. The LiveTV program will then appear in your
Watch Recordings page. Don't know if that's mapped to a key
on a remote control.
Then you can switch to another channel.
