MythBuntu Disk Utility

Post by UKenGB »

As part of my MythTV backend, I want to add a couple of hard disks and partition them to JFS. Is this possible with the GUI?

I've installed the JFS utilities and will resort to the command line if I have to, but it would be so much easier with a GUI utility to do this. Since dealing with probably multiple hard disks is almost certain when setting up a MythTV backend, I thought that MythBuntu would include such a utility. Am I wrong?

At default Mythbuntu does a minimal install. But you can add anything you want to it. Just search for disk in the software center and you can find anything you want.

I found gparted and that seems ideal. It's just surprising that this sort of thing is not included as it seems everyone trying to set up MythTV would need it.

I've got it sorted now though, thanks.
