mythtv video settings on freebsd

Post by rskinner »

I'm just trying to see if I can get the most out of myth, but so far I'm failing miserably.

I have a working tv system, recordings is working, and I can play these back as I wish.

What I'm missing is videos in the media player. Every time I enter the folder it says there is nothing in it, and I need to scan. Scan comes up with nothing. A quick check using ls shows mpg file there, but its just not registering.

So I can't tell if my upnp is working because videos aren't working yet either!

As far as I can tell, I am using storage groups. I didn't see any other way, and it complained so I complied :)

What do I need to do, or what info is needed? Myth is at 0.27 I think, and it is all a fresh install on 10.1.

TIA

Sorry, but I don't understand what you mean by "media player." Plex Media Server? Something else?
