Backend won't start

Post by zenarcher »

Macports install, Mac mini 10.9.5, wired network with DHCP reservation. Have tried both localhost and IP address for backend.

Had it working for a few days but now Myth_Stop_Start reports database is running but backend is not. Console reports:

4/6/15 5:15:18.515 PM launchservicesd[57]: Application App:"Myth_Stop_Start" asn:0x0-44044 pid:1096 refs=7 @ 0x7fbac040d470 tried to be brought forward, but isn't in fPermittedFrontApps ( ( "LSApplication:0x0-0x45045 pid=1099 "SecurityAgent"")), so denying. : LASSession.cp #1481 SetFrontApplication() q=LSSession 100006/0x186a6 queue
4/6/15 5:15:18.515 PM WindowServer[152]: [cps/setfront] Failed setting the front application to Myth_Stop_Start, psn 0x0-0x44044, securitySessionID=0x186a6, err=-13066

4/6/15 5:19:25.325 PM com.apple.launchd[1]: (org.mythtv.mythbackend) Throttling respawn: Will start in 300 seconds

Rinse and repeat every 5 minutes.

Any clue as to what went wrong?

Thanks...

Every time mythbackend tries to start, it creates a log file in /opt/local/var/log/mythtv.27 . Please attach the most recent one ("mythbackend.20150406hhmmss.nnnnn.log") here.

Got it going now, operator error! I had swapped out HDHR units over the weekend and didn't completely reconfigure the new one in setup. Thanks for pointing me to the log, found out what was wrong right away.
