Just in case you were interested, the XMLTV suite of programs to download, process and store television listings is now available through MacPorts:
https://ports.macports.org/port/xmltv/summary
Once MacPorts is installed, you can install XMLTV with
sudo port install xmltv
Sooner or later, the nearly 200 supporting Perl modules will all be downloaded and installed and you too can test out the fun and exciting world of guide data in XML format. MythTV oriented instructions are here:
https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/XMLTV
If you find any problems with the package, please let me know either here or via the MacPorts bug tracker. Obviously I can't test all the various grabbers around the world.
