Cannot see recordings

I have just set up a clean MythTV 0.27 on a new Mac Mini (Mavericks) with both frontend and backend on the same machine. LiveTV works, EPG works, recordings work but... I cannot see any recordings. The files are written to the correct directory but going to Media, Watch Recordings just brings up black boxes and no content. Content does play if you force it to go to the directories.

Any ideas what is going wrong? The frontend and backend are accessing the database via localhost.

Are your recordings on an external drive? Or the boot disk? What did you enter in mythtv-setup as the path to the recordings?

All files and directories are correct. What happened was that all recordings were using the LiveTV profile. Consequently they weren't showing up in the Recordings until I viewed all recording groups.

A simple misconfiguration issue that had me scurrying for the logs, checking database integrity etc.
