Hello,
I am trying to setup my first installation of MythTv on a Mac. I am only installing the backend and when I run the MythTv-Setup app, the menu options are all missing and only shows in the upper left section of the screen. I can click on the images and they seem to change but I cannot tell what they are.
Is there any way to fix the display with the setup application?
I used the following setup dmg
MythBackend-0.28-intel-10.9-v0.28-52-ge6a60f7.dmg
MythTv-Setup App Display
Re: MythTv-Setup App Display
Are you using a Retina display? I've never tested with a high-dpi display attached. mythtv-setup uses the old Myth user interface code; maybe it doesn't know how to behave with all those pixels?NewMacMythTvUser wrote:Hello,

If you are on a high-dpi setting, can you use System Preferences > Displays to a non-doubled output? Or perhaps you have another machine that can connect across your network to the database?

This Mac does not have the retina display. I will try a fresh install using MacPorts installer instead. I should have tried that the first time.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Just in case somebody else has the same issue, use MacPorts installer instead. The display shows up correctly.
