[Solved] All cuts removed after mythtranscode runs.

Post by BEDavisBrown »

This is on a 0.28-2 version and after I run mythtranscode on a video all of my edited cuts are gone, it's okay if I caught all of the commercials but if I do miss one it would save time by not having to edit the whole video again. I also run a 0.28-1 version on another PC and using the same command it never removes the cuts, is it normal for the 0.28-2 version to do this?

Can't answer the question, but mythutil --getcutlist could be used. Then mythutil --setcutlist ... could
be used before and after transcoding.

Is the --honorcutlist switch used when transcoding on both hosts?

Sorry I just found your reply and yes I do use the --honorcutlist on both boxes and I just discovered mythutil from a search. I'm using:
mythutil --getcutlist --chanid 1051 --starttime 20221025025600
the output is:
Cutlist: 20400-27617,45920-61535
on the older 0.28-1 version but when I run the command on the box running 0.28-2 Cutlist: is empty, there are no errors.

October 26th:

Well the getcutlist is working now on both boxes and I'm piping to a file, is this format of setcutlist correct?

mythutil --setcutlist 20400-27617,45920-61535 --chanid 1051 --starttime 20221025025600

Everything is working now.
