Hello all,
I recently upgraded to MythTV v31.0 and switched to SchedulesDirect XMLTV.
All this is finally working correctly, but I have TONS of channels. (I use OTA and DirecTV Boston)
I have a question on the "proper" way to exclude channels and cannot find it documented.
I performed it on the "mythweb" web site(on the backend server), but overnight, the channels seem to always return.
I am using the "tv_grab_zz_sdjson_sqlite" grabber.
Ideally, I would like for it to exclude channels that I explicitly list. (Pretty much how SD used to work)
I would like to allow any channels that have been stored to be updated. And new channels to be added.
Thanks,
Brian

You should be able to go to Channel Editor on the backend, click on the channel you want to hide and change from visible to not visible.

Also on the XMLTV https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/XMLTV#Setup ... son_sqlite you can use the --manage-lineups option to include just the channels you want the lineup downloaded daily for. Then as mentioned above use the mythtv-setup -> Channel Editor and select channels to display. Typically, if you remove a channel in your XMLTV lineup but see it in your guide without any EPG data, then it's a Channel Editor issue on you backend.
