Error concealment?

Anybody familiar with this, and know if it is possible to configure the system to use it?
Basically, when data is missing from a stream, it makes a "guess" to try to make the image look a bit better, I think.
I've been googling this since I found a reference to it, but not yet sure if/how I can use it.
