Remote Recommendations

I've been using Streamzap remote via LIRC since MythTV 0.18 (now at v29) and have been very happy with it. However, after 11 years some buttons are not as responsive as they should be. It looks like Streamzap is no longer being manufactured, and although some units can be found on eBay I'm thinking that it may be time to get something more current.

What are the popular IR remotes being used? I took a look at https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Category:Remote_Controls but there are a lot of old information there (PVR-350?!). I'm not interested in using my phone or Wii remote, but something that looks/feels like a traditional TV/DVD remote, well, like Streamzap :-) Thanks for any suggestions as to the popular IR remotes.

I use these. Mainly because they have a lot of buttons (53), and they are JP1 remotes that I can program anything i want on them. I created my own I use with mythtv. Used to use them with lirc, but have since dropped it in favor of ir-keytable.

I really like the OARUSB04G:

which is also a very flexible remote when used with JP1 programming. (For example, I control a fifth device, the Roku, by mapping a key to add a roku device.)

It's also supposed to be programmable via the Simpleset web site, but I haven't done this at all.

I have been extremely happy using a logitech harmony 700 with a streamzap IR receiver. I like its flexibility.
However, in case the streamzap receiver dies, I am curious what people are doing for IR receivers.

There are 100's on ebay for <$10. I've been using HP media center receiver/senders for over 10 years now, but basically any will work. I even used a serial port one long ago. A winfast model iirc. But it didn't work well at longer distances.
